We mill and produce sawn timber from local stock, with popular dimensions available for sale to the trade and public by prior arrangement. Please do not visit the Bucket Mill to purchase timber without being in touch first.
Buying timber from us helps us fund our work to return the Bucket Mill to working order and keep it in good order.
Cut to Order
We aim to mill roughly every three months, primarily using European Larch from local forests. With notice we can produce timber cut to order if you require specific dimensions.
Fire and Slab Wood
We have a variety of off-saw slabs, available by the metre. These offer a cost-effective way to build fences, clad sheds or use for firewood.
Off-Saw Sticks
We also have a variety of odd-dimension sticks, averaging around 50mm x 50mm, with heart and sapwood, which are a cost-effective timber for home, garden and DIY projects.
